Gary Guseinov is a trailblazer in digital marketing, technology, and cybersecurity with a career spanning nearly three decades. Starting in 1994, Gary founded DirectSynergy, one of the first digital performance marketing companies in the United States. Under his leadership, DirectSynergy revolutionized online marketing for Fortune 500 companies like AIG, Citibank, and AT&T, overseeing over $2 billion in media spending and paving the way for modern internet advertising.

 

In 2004, Gary took his innovative mindset to the consumer cybersecurity industry by launching CyberDefender. From ground zero, he scaled the company to $100 million in annual revenue and led its successful NASDAQ debut in 2010. At its peak, CyberDefender employed nearly 2,000 professionals, served millions of paying subscribers, and provided essential cybersecurity solutions to tens of millions of users worldwide.

 

Beyond founding and scaling companies, Gary has played a pivotal role as an advisor and operator for numerous technology ventures. He contributed to the explosive growth of AnchorFree (now Pango/Aura), helping its flagship VPN app, Hotspot Shield, amass over 650 million global users and achieve #1 ratings. He has also provided strategic counsel to leading telecom giants like AT&T, Telefónica, and Verizon on transformative technology projects focused on customer acquisition.

 

Gary’s expertise extends to building and optimizing large-scale operations. He has developed sales organizations with more than 100 professionals, established global call centers with over 2,000 seats, and designed enterprise-grade CRM and billing platforms. His visionary approach to growth has led to the successful acquisition of over 1 billion app users for various owned and operated companies.

 

Throughout his career, Gary has raised over $500 million in venture capital, private equity, and debt financing. He currently serves on the boards of several companies through his association with Corbel Capital Partners, where he continues to shape the future of technology-driven enterprises.
