Gary Guseinov is a trailblazer in digital marketing, technology and cybersecurity with a career spanning nearly three decades. In 1994 he founded DirectSynergy, one of the first digital performance marketing companies in the United States. Under his leadership, DirectSynergy revolutionized online marketing for Fortune 500 companies including AIG, Citibank and AT&T, overseeing more than $2 billion in media spending and helping define the modern internet advertising landscape.
In 2004 Gary launched CyberDefender from the ground up and scaled it to $100 million in annual revenue, leading its successful NASDAQ debut in 2010. At its peak, CyberDefender employed nearly 2,000 professionals, served millions of paying subscribers and delivered essential cybersecurity solutions to tens of millions of users worldwide.
Beyond founding companies, Gary has served as an operator and advisor to numerous technology ventures. He contributed to the explosive growth of AnchorFree — now Pango/Aura — helping its flagship VPN app, Hotspot Shield, amass more than 650 million global users and achieve top ratings. He has also advised telecom leaders including AT&T, Telefónica and Verizon on transformative customer acquisition and technology initiatives.
Gary has built sales organizations of more than 100 professionals, global call centers with over 2,000 seats, and enterprise-grade CRM and billing platforms. His operational discipline has driven the successful acquisition of more than one billion app users across owned and operated companies.
Throughout his career, Gary has raised more than $500 million in venture capital, private equity and debt financing. He currently serves on the boards of several companies through his association with Corbel Capital Partners, where he continues to shape the future of technology-driven enterprises.
